Witch’s Jar

The third painting in a series of nine about the amazing adaptability of carnivorous plants. The ‘Witch’s Jar’ is inspired by found ‘witch bottles’ throughout England and New England homes which were a form of counter-witchcraft meant to remedy and reverse the hex of a witch. Here the witch’s jar has barely withstood the test of time as something sinister has begun to grow from within it.
