Original Painting 'Bacchus Vessel'

Here within this vessel I’ve tried to contain the wilderness that rises up from within.

Bacchus is a nature god of vegetation, wine, ecstasy and fertility. A wild god, associated with madness, festivity, and wild frenzy. Bacchus serves as a symbol of liberation from ones everyday identity. To me he’s the perfect representation for the ideas about embodiment which I’m exploring in this series of ‘vessel’ paintings.

This acrylic painting on wood panel measures 9” X 12” and comes in a real nice, black frame which measures 13” X 17”
